1) How to install the software?
You need, first of all, to unzip the ZIP file. Fot this, you need to have the WinZip software installed in your PC. If you don't have, download it from their website: http://www.winzip.com/
Extract all the files to the same directory, for example a new folder in your desktop.
Then, run the icansetup.exe file and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

2) How do I open the software?
After the installation, run the iCanEXPORT.exe file.

3) How do I export the songs from the iPod to the PC?
- Connect the iPod to the PC and then select the drive where the iPod is connected (for example, E:)
- Select the directory where you want to export the song files
- Select the name format of the files (for example, Genre_Artist_Title_Album_ID)
- Click in "Check for sound files" to load the iPod song list
- Select the songs you want to export using the "(Un)select file" button (or the keyboard shortcut [ALT]+[S]). To uncheck, use the same button (or the same shortcut) Para desmarcar, use o mesmo botão. You can make multiple selection by using the [SHIFT] key. Click on the field names to sort the list as you wish.
- Finally, click in "Export selected file(s)". If you want to open the export directory, click the "Open export directory" button.

4) What file types can be exported from the iPdo to the PC?
Only sound files (MP3, AAC, podcasts, audiobooks, etc.). Video and picture files are not supported by this software.

5) What computers can I install this software in?
This software was developed only for PCs running Windows 2000 or XP..

6) What is the cost?
The software is totally free - it's a freeware.

7) Are there another languages versions?
No. The software was only developed in English, but soon there will be another languages versions.

8) Was this software developed by Apple?
No. This software was developed for my personal use, then I upgraded it and now it is available in this site for anyone to download. There were not any involvement or support from Apple in any time during the project.

9) Can I copy music from another person iPod to my PC?
No. If you don't have the songs copyrights, then you would be breaking the law. Use iCanEXPORT only to copy songs that you have obtained legally.

10) How do I publicize iCanEXPORT?
Point out the link to the main page http://www.icanexport.com. Then people can find all the information they need and not only the download link.

11) Does iCanEXPORT modifies any file inside my iPod?
No. It only copies the available songs list to your PC.

12) What iPod model does this software works with?
iCanEXPORT was successfully tested with many iPod models (iPod, iPod shuffle, iPod nano, iPod mini).
